A Pennsylvania university is testing whether students and faculty can go a week without social media by temporarily blocking Facebook, MySpace, Twitter and instant messaging.

University of Wyoming campus plans for more development

With major construction projects wrapping up on the west side of the University of Wyoming campus, university leaders are now looking at developing the campus' southeast corner.

New and renovated student housing, a new UW Foundation building and shops and even a movie theater were among the ideas discussed at Friday's meeting of the UW Board of Trustees.

About 10 acres north of Grand Avenue on 30th Street have been set aside for new housing for 300 to 325 students, said Doug Vinzant, UW's vice president for administration, in a presentation to board members. The site is currently occupied by the Summit View Apartments, which would be demolished to make way for the new construction.
